I have been attempting to work with OL (various versions)
to add an event to the calendar as a person schedules a
course in our learning management application. This works
fine, although I haven't figured out some of the
attributes. I also want to give them the ability to
delete/cancel that appointment if they should withdraw
from the course, which only seems logical.
The iCalendar and (some versions) of the vCalendar
specification show a "Cancel" method for the vEvent
object, but when I send an .ics file to OL, it defaults to
a "Publish" method, and adds the appointment again, rather
than canceling it. If I change the file to .vcs, OL does
the same thing.
Anybody got any answers as to the level of support for
iCalendar/vCalendar methods?
