Icon colors in Office Toolbar?

Hello. How can I get more colors in the icons in Office
Toolbar? It seems to be reducing them to 4 colors or
something, and they are VERY hard to distinguish. I
notice this happening also to image previews I insert
into Outlook messages. I'd almost swear that in Win98, I
had more colors in the Toolbar and icons looked like the
ones on the desktop. Thanks for any help!
