Icon disappearing in WIN98

I have a VB application on the server that fires up an MDE
after performing some verifications and I have the
workstations running the VB application from a shortcut.

The shortcut is created on the server and it is copied to
the workstations when needed. The shortcut automatically
takes the icon of the VB application.

When the shortcut is copied from the server to the
workstations, on WIN2000 there is no problem, but on
WIN98, the icon is lost and is replaced with the standard
MS icon.

Can anyone explain why that would be so?

I appreciate your help.

Not really an Access issue.

Shortcut issues would be a Windows problem.

You might have better luck in one of the multitude of Win 98 groups that all
start with microsoft.public.win98.

However, it might be a problem with your VB code.

If that's the case, you might try one of the many VB groups that all start
with microsoft.public.vb.

Good luck.
