Icon for an Access application

I am creating an application that will be used by several other people.
How does one create an icon on the desktop, so that users will not
necessarily be opening Access everytime but just the application (which
is of course supported by Access). I know to create a shortcut, but I
want to change the standard icon to be unique. So essentially I just
want to know how to change the icon.

Well, that is really a Windows question, not an Access question.
Right-click on the icon and select "Properties", then click the "Change
Icon" button.

Let's turn it into an Access question by adding the following:

Go to Tools, Options, Startup and in Application Icon put the same graphic
file used in the desktop shortcut.
