Icon in Notification Area

I just installed Office 2003 and OneNote 2003 with all the updates. I have
check the box to add an icon in the notification area of the screen, but
nothing. I get nothing in the start menu and nothing in notification area.

Any ideas on how to fix this.

You probably see the icon by now. It won't show up until after you use
OneNote for the first time.

Open OneNote and go to Tools/Options/Other. If there is a check mark in
Place OneNote icon in the notification area of the taskbar, remove it,
select OK and then exit OneNote. Go back in and repeat the steps, putting
the check mark back. It should kick it in the tail for you.

When you say "all of the updates" do you mean the final SP1 which was
released yesterday? The "missing icon" bug which was present for some
people in the SP1 preview should be fixed in the final SP1.

Do a Help | About... and report back the full version number. The final
SP1 should be 11.6360.6360 (SP1).

And so after re-installing the application I now have an icon in the
notification area of the task bar and a quick launch icon in the start menu.

now it all seems to be working fine.

Thanks for your help

Craig
