Icon in taskbar has changed appearance

First of all, I am referring to the area along the bottom of the screen that
shows a button for each open program, between the start button on the left
and the notification area on the right.

I noticed yesterday that when Outlook is open, the icon shown in this area
now looks like a folder, overlapped by an envelope. The button still says
"Inbox - Microsoft Outlook". If I open my calendar in outlook, this icon
changes to the calendar icon; open tasks, the icon changes to a clipboard
with a check on it.

My problem is that I am used to seeing the classic clock-in-a-box Outlook
icon in this area and I can't figure out what has changed.

I know that my company did some patches. My Outlook 2003 build says
(11.8206.8202) SP3. If this is a change in the new patch, how do I get my
classic icon back? I hate having to search for Outlook now because the new
Inbox icon has no contrast.

Thank you.

I figured out why this happened. If you are in Outlook and right-click on
Inbox and choose "Open in New Window" the icon appears this way, presumably
to diferentiate from the other open instance. I didn't notice it until I had
closed the original instance and the icon remained different.

I closed this instance as well, reopened Outlook, and the icon was back to
normal.
