icon on desktop

I just finished installing office home and student 2007 and it didn't put an
icon on my desk for quick access?

The other way to put an icon on your desk, is to go to Microsoft Office
folder and copy/paste or drag the Project Professional icon onto your desktop.

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

I'm not familiar with the student version, so I suggest you search for the
winproj.exe file. Right-click the file and make shortcut, which shoulld be
at the bottom of the same folder. Click and drag that on to your desktop.
