Icons on Office tool bar distorted

The icons on my XP Home and Office XP tool bar are not very clear as on the
old 98SE and Office 97 editions. The shortcut for the calculator looks
really bad. Is there a update I need? Any suggestions?

Right click on an open area of the toolbar and select "Refresh."

They still appear the same after a refresh, all the original Office Icons
are fine but any added shortcuts such as to the calculator are illegible.
