My office applications have lost their icons (ex. a .doc does not have
the MS word icon). They still start the appropriate application when
double clicked bu they have the wrong icons. How do I fix this?

This has happened to me and its happened when my systems are running low and I
just restart the computer and the right icons are back.

I don't know but you maybe able to change the icons manually but this is
something I have not had to do.

I've rebooted many times since this happened... I think something got
clobbered when I cleaned out some temp stuff to regain disk space.
