Everytime I start up Entourage it requires me to enter my password. I went to Account Settings|Mail |Edit and entered my password with the "save to key chain", but it does not stick. Any ideas?

Open keychain access and delete the entry for tht account. Let Entourage
recreate it and it should 'stick'.

Thanks, Barry, but when I checked in Keychain, I found nothing about
Entourage; there were only a very few items, all with "apple.com" extensions.
My problem is identical to the one you responded to, but in addition, I am
always prompted twice for the password when checking for mail. If I do not
enter it, of course, no mail is found, but once I do enter it, even though
the mail is found and imported, I am still prompted a second time for the
password, and whether I enter it or not, the following message appears:
“Authentication failed because Entourage does not support any of the
available authentication methods.†In spite of this dire warning, I can
always get and read my mail, so the problem is merely an annoyance.

Check to see if your Keychain is locked. At the top left there is a lock. Is
it open or closed? It should be open.

This sounds like your preferences folder. Did you open the application
Keychain Access?
