I'd like to shrink my word document from 4 pages to 2 pages.

I'm using Microsoft Word 2007 and I have a document that was originally on
legal size paper. When I print, I can designate it to print and shrink to fit
on letter size paper. I saved it as letter size paper but it's on 4 pages, so
now I'm trying to shrink it down to 2 pages instead of 4.

You can select "2 pages per sheet" in the Print dialog.

You could narrow your margins and decrease your font sizes and line
spacing.
