ID not unique in Master Plan

How do you set the predecessor of a task to be the task
from another sub-project in the same master project plan?
For example, I have sub project 1 and 2 both linked in
master project A. Since the ID numbers are not unique in
the master plan, how can I get a task from sub-project 2
to have a predecessor from sub-project 1.

You can use the Unique ID Predecessor column.
Or drag and drop links or select the tasks in order and click on the link
icon.
