ID Numbering - Changes

When linking a Master Plan task to a Sub-Plan task the ID number in the
Master is bumping up by 1 on each new link. I need to turn this off but
can't figure out where to do it. Suggestions?

You can't.
ID numbers are fairly useless as an identifier anyway so I wouldn't worry
about it.
Use Unique ID if you want something that doesn't change.

I've worked with these interproject links quite a bit over
the last several months, and tend to agree that the ID
nos. are kind of useless as they change everytime you add
a new link. I don't know of any way to turn it off,
however you could always suppress the ID column, and/or
substitute "Unique ID," just as the other respondent noted.
