In principle, I find the grammatical checker very helpful. However, in the
10 years or so, since it has been introduced, I have seen no noticeable
progress in its capability to catch errors. The problem is one of both syntax
and semantics. Words have fuzzy meanings. However, as someone who have
spent much of my adult life writing for a living, I would love to see a more
sophisticated grammar checker. I thought perhaps might open a web
"depository" to which your users could send you examples of sentences where
the grammar checker missed an error. This might help you to build a more
rubust database of rules to include in the grammar checker. Please don't let
this feature stagnate. It is very useful, but with all due respects, it is
extremely limited in its capacity to catch grammatical errors.
