identical appointments in calendar and how to remove them?

After a synchronization error with my pda, I ended up with
all my appointments being doubled, e.g. each appointment
appears twice. Is there any script or automatic method
which I can use to remove all these double entries?

If you want to do it manually, the easiest way is to a view which lists the appointments, sort by name (which will have the doubles right next to each other) then CTRL+click (highlight) all the ones you want to get rid of and press DELETE
