Identity can't be opened with this version

By mistake I quit an Office update (from auto-update) in mid flow.
Question marks appeared over all the applications so I reinstalled.
Now I cannot open Entourage at all and keep getting the error message
"This identity cannot be opened with this version of Entourage".

What can I do? In my identities folder I have a main identity and one
that I backed up today, trying to resolve it.

You just need to apply the updates that are applicable to your version of
Office (in Office 2004 there is a 'check for updates' item under the Help
menu, in Office vX you need to download them from Mactopia).

Because you have re-installed your version is older than the version that
last modified the database. Applying the relevant updates will fix this.

really done some damage!
