What is boothup? Your entire message is so vague that I have no clue what
your problem is.

Thank you for your reaction Diane. Sorry for the vague question but I thought that this problem was well known by now.
The problem is when I start my Imac (2008 with Leopard and Intel) , I get a small pop-up screen which says that the "Identity and Messages are being updated". This stays sometimes 5 minutes on the screen. You cannot use the Imac in the meanwhile. I tried all the suggestions on the forum but it didn't work. What I do now is using the Office 2008 program " Database Utility Program" for rebuilding the database. This helps for a few days and than the problem starts again.
You already reacted on previous questions about this topic and send some links to help-pages but those suggtestions didn't work for me. I saw that more people have this problem so I hope that Microsoft has a solution.

It has never been described as Identity pop up. Once you included the
description of the problem I understood what you were talking about.

The is the Setup Assistant loop problem.

Did you try every option listed on this page including re-install of Office?
