Rui,

Unless you want to edit the html code and put the image info at the
bottom of the page (just before the </body> tag) which is not easy to do
in Pub - or most programs, you will have to live with this, AFAIK.

As for downloading the same image twice - usually the image is stored in
a cache so it really isn't downloaded from your site anew each time.

Adding to what Mike said, as far as I know, browsers read html code from top
to bottom, and left to right, and you can't change that. Most images and
graphics will load more slowly than text, and some images will take a long
time to load if they are large images.

When you "Publish to the Web" and produce the html files and code, Publisher
makes copies of every image on each page. It doesn't matter if it is the
same image such as a banner...it will make copies of each instance where
that image is inserted into your page. If that image is located exactly the
same place on your page, then sometimes the browser will recognize that it
has already downloaded that image, and use the image in the cache on your
computer instead of downloading it again.

If you don't want Publisher to make copies of each image, then you have to
import the image instead of inserting and embedding the image in the
Publisher page.

Publisher is a Desktop Publishing program with limited web building
capability. It is intended for small, simple static sites. Depending on your
goals for your site, it may or may not be the right tool for you. You may
prefer a program that is specifically designed for web building.

Maybe It was my mistake to use the publisher...sorry. I will try to see if the
Microsoft® Expression™ Web Designer it's the tools for my needs...I want to
control the html code...the publisher is not the correct tool to do that.
I will try the Microsoft® Expression™ Web Designer just because i have done
some work in front page...but maybe exit better tools?

Thanks,

Expression is replacing FP, and thus far most people seem to feel it is a
much better tool that FP was.

You might also check out http://www.nvu.com/ which is free, and of course
Dreamweaver is one of the most popular.

Expression Web would be a much better choice, there will be a learning curve
for you if you're not familiar with CSS, but having used FrontPage you're
half way there.
