IE 7 and InfoPath 2003

S

Steve M.

Has anybody run into any issues running their existing InfoPath 2003 forms
after upgrading to Internet Explorer 7? I am working an issue where one of
my legal sized forms will only print on letter sized paper. I have removed
and replaced printer drivers and everything. I can print it fine on a PC
running IE 6.

Let me know if their are other issues found.

Hi,
As posted a month ago ... I upgraded my development environment to IE7. When
opening an existing form, all my pictures in the forms were gone. Nothing but
a picture placeholder. And, I'm not the only one with this problem. See the
post ...

Marc

I have some issues as well. When I tried to open my infopath 2003 forms
they do not display any of the textboxes/combo boxes/etc. Only buttons and
picture placeholders shows up in the form. However, if I open the exact same
form using IE 6.0 they all display and work as expected.

The test that I have is:
a. Infopath template without SP1 features added.
b. Infopath template *with* SP1 featuers added.

I have published them both to 2 separate form libraries, and I am able to
open them both from a client running infopath SP2 and IE 6.0. I am not able
to open either one if I use IE 7.0.

Any help/comment on this will be appreciate.

Thanks,

I have the same problem of pictures not displaying since I upgraded IE
to version 7. Is there any work-around available for this problem?

I have observed that the problem arises only if Internet Explorer had
not yet been started. Is this a punishment for those adventurous people
who dare use another browser? ;-)

Actually I have found the problem. It seems that IE 7.0 locks down the
security a little bit more. If you are using any call to the Active
Directory from within Infopath, you will now be blocked from making those
calls. If you still want to allow the scripts to make calls to the Active
Directory, then go to the security tab in IE7 and change it there.

Thanks,
