IE not using default form

G

Gabriel

When i send a file or url from desktop IE 6.0 don´t use the default
form defined. Where can i define the default form for IE.

Thanks in advance,

Gabriel.

You're already seeing the default form. These features use Simple MAPI,
which does not invoke an Outlook form. You may want to use MailTo_URL from
http://www.slipstick.com/addins/gallery/index.htm#mailto. It adds an "Email
Page" command to the right-click menu in IE and uses the title of the page
for the subject of the mail message. And it uses the normal Outlook message
form.

Make sure that the registry entry you create to tell IE where to find the
application matches the location where you save the program.

Thanks for your reply. This problem comes up because we redefine the
default form, and find this and that Outlook don´t put user´s default
signature when sending a new mail using that new form. Any ideas of
what can be happen...

Thanks anyway for your response.

I already explained what's happening. A Simple MAPI send doesn't use Outlook
forms.

Also note: The newsgroup interface you are using apparently does not quote
earlier messages in the thread, making your latest message so short on
detail that you risk not getting the answer you're looking for. Please take
the time to quote the original message.

I apologize. But when i refer to what´s happen i mean to the second
problem: why outlook don´t use default user´s signature when sending a
new mail, instead it use it when reply or reply all instance.

Related to IE i´ve download the registry modification and i´ll try
later. But don´t seems to be the most accurate solution because this is
for a large company and i don´t find efective installing it client by
client.

Thanks again, and excuse me for my faults.

That's just the way it is. Simple MAPI knows nothing about Outlook and its
signatures.
