Hi,
some users (project managers) in my company gets an error when
using 'Resources-view availability' :

Internet Explorer has encountered a problem with an add-on and needs to close.
The following add-on was running when this problem occourred:
File: pigrid11.ocx
Company Name: Microsoft Corporation
Description: Microsoft Office Project Server 2003 Service Pack 2

I have tried deleting the user profile, bur still doesn't working. Client
version are:
WinXp SP2 - IE 6.0.2900.2180 - SP2

This function works with my own user on my PC and on others PC. Doensn't
work with the project managers users on their PC and on my PC.

Hello,

Not sure if it is the same thing, and it was on IE7, but I've encountered an
error with all of the ActiveX controls. I obviously got some kind of
corruption.

The solution was in IE to go to Tools -> Internet Options -> Programs tab ->
Manage Add-Ons button. I then deleted the 'PJ12ENUC Class' and 'PjAdoInfo4
Class' ActiveX controls and re-installed them from Project Server.

Not sure if that would work for you, but might be worth trying if you have
no other ideas.

Cheers,

Jonathan

Hi I also have problem with IE crash.

I discovered 2 factors which together causing IE crash.

1) IE do not crash when Office 2007 is installed to client computer
2) IE crash when user ois assigned to migrated security categories

I didn't heard about my case really long time even i didn't know if
suport engineer (premier support ) was able replicate this bug.

Hi Gary,
still doesn't work after yours and Jonathan's suggestions...
maybe it's an error connect to the user ? The Project server is an Active
Directory domain. I read that on another post, and suggestion is delete the
user and create new on Project server , but that involve to lost all user
projects history?
Thanks for your help, bye!

Luigi:

Do the browsers that crash have any installed add-ins? Avant Browser? Google
Toolbar? Does everyone have the PWA site in their trusted sites zone with
security set to low or medium? Does everyone have access data across domains
permission in the custom level setting in the trusted sites zone? These are
things I'd look at first.
