IE7 fails due to DEP closure after latest round of updates

This is a real PITA!!!
IE7 just quits! and why? bloody DEP has decided its a threat to my
computer.. this only occured after the last series of updates from MS
update...
So now I have to install a BETA version of IE8 in order to use a browser OR
go to another program entirely, Firefox or Chrome in order to browse.
Somehow I doubt this is in MicroSofts interest... driving users to use
competitors products isnt very good business practice IMHO..
Anyone from MS got any idea whats up with the latest series of updates to
cause this?

We're not from MS. This is a peer-to-peer support newsgroup for users of
Microsoft Access. For issues with Internet Explorer, you could try
microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general
