A
ahelp
Ever since starting to use Vista, I've had an intermittent problem with IE7
restarting on close. Through a suggestion from the IE newsgroup, I used the
no Add-ons mode because it was possible that "an Addon is dynamically
(probably on a timer) hooking into IE. On closing IE, the Addon can't find
the IE window and so starts another instance to hook back into. The Addon
needs to close when the browser OnQuit event fires."
As an EPM administrator, I had to immediately enable the PWA controls. I
also enabled the control for these newsgroups. Then I tried closing tabs
individually instead of all at once. IE restarted after I closed the PWA tab.
That is PWA 2003. It may happen with 2007 as well. It was not a problem with
IE7 under XP, only Vista.
Has anyone else observed this behavior?
Can this be fixed?
Thanks,
Mike
