If a number is greater then zero then unhide the line

I want to have a data input sheet and a sales order sheet. Both Sheets would be in the same workbook. The data input sheet would list in the first column the quanity of a specific product and the second column would list the apprpriate model numberand the third column would be the description of the product. I would like to link these cells to the matching cells in the sales order sheet. All the poduct lines would be hiddden in the sales order sheet until a quanity greater than zero would be entered in the matching data input sheet. In other words, the sales order would be blank until someone enters a number greater than zero in the datainput sheet for a particular product which would cause the apprpriate line to unhide in the sales order and we can then print the sales order. Thank you so much in advance for your help!!!!!!

If I understand your question correctly, you really don't need t
hide/unhide lines.

Can you use the VLookup function to refer to your inventory items?

Please clarify, if you need to hide and unhide lines there are ways t
do that also

Thank you for your reply. What i am trying to do is set
up a sales order that would be easy to use.

I am trying to have a choice of products that would be
listed on a "data input sheet". These same products would
be listed on a seperate sheet in the same workbook on
a "sales order sheet". The "sales order sheet" listing of
the products would all be hidden. If a quanity greater
than zero was entered in the quanity column of the "data
input sheet" for a particular product, then that
particular product would be unhidden on the "sales order
sheet".

I would then be able to have an easy to use sales order
form that when printed would only display the products
that were purchased.

I hope I'm clearer in this explanation!

You raise an interesting point that maybe I don't have to use auto filter. I just want to have an automated process where a secretary can enter a quanity of sales items in some data input form then that item will show up on a sales order form. This is a very simplistic example but gives you the direction I'm headed in

My excel skills are only good on a very basic level. I can show you in a much more detailed fashion what I am looking to do if I could email to you some actual examples. Are you available to engage in a consulting contract? We are a small but growing company that could use a excel consultant
