Sure. Just put the original value in the final part of teh if function,
where it calculates the false value.

I read what you wrote. Then I read it again. I think what you are asking
is this:
You have an If function in say, A1.
Cell A1 displays the True part of your If function because the argument is
True.
You want A1 to retain it's current display when the argument becomes False.
That doesn't make sense.
Post back and tell us what you have in what cells, what changes where to
make the argument False, and what you want the formula cell to display when
that happens. HTH Otto
