If I install MS Office 2007, can I open/read 2000 Excel and Word

If I install MS Office 2007 and un-install earlier versions, can I still open
Word documents and Excel spreadsheets that I made using earlier version?

Yes, but others without 2007 will not be able to open your documents. Use
the Office Button to Save as...earlier version if you intend to distribute
the documents. Some funtionality will be lost when saving as an earlier
version but nothing too serious. You will receive a warning about this when
sacing.
