If I reinstall Microsoft Office will I lose all of my e-mails?

When I try to open Outlook Express I get a message that it "Cannot start
Microsoft Office Outlook. Unable to open the Outlook window. The set of
folders could not be opened. The server is not abailable. Contat your
administrator if this condition persists." so now I con't get into my e-mails
that have some of which are very important, I was told I would need to
reinstall Office, will that fix the problem, and will I lose all of my
e-mails?

1. I doubt that you would lose your mail store, but with OE, who knows?

2. Reinstalling Office is very unlikely to solve the problem.

3. The problem seems to be that something somewhere thinks you have Outlook
(rather than Outlook Express) selected as your default mail client. There
are two settings that might affect this:

a. Control Panel | Internet Options | Programs: Be sure "Outlook
Express" is selected for "E-mail."

b. In Outlook: Tools | Options | Other: Make sure the box for "Make
Outlook the default program for E-mail, Contacts, and Calendar" is not
checked.

I did not realize there was a difference and it is "Outlook" that I'm having
trouble with not "Outlook Express" Sorry for the confusion.
