If set to connect using lan will not detect modem

Since upgrading to Outlook 2002 version 10, if 'E-mail Settings',
'Connections' is set to 'connect using my lan' with 'connect via
modem...........' checked, the modem is not detected when using a phone line
unless the settings are changed to 'connect using my phone line'

That would indicate an incorrect setting in specifying your "Use the
following Dial Up Connection" setting.
