If statment that looks at table for result

I'm trying to do the following.

Expr1: Iff([OTPrinExtEcode1]=

,"E",[OTPrinExtEcode1])

I think I'm using the if statment correctly, however I running into problems.
I'm trying to compare [OTPrinExtEcode1] field to a diffrent table that has
[CODE] field. If its a one to many join [OTPrinExtEcode1] -> [CODE]

Aside from posting your SQL as suggested by Karl, if this is a copy and
paste then *Iff* should be *IIf*.
