I have a drop menu with part numbers, which I pull from another sheet, there
are descriptions associated to those part numbers.

What I want to do is on the drop menu sheet when Part number A is selected
in the drop menu of C7 cell then display the part description in D7 for part
number A

There are about 10 part numbers to choose from

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Use VLOOKUP(). See:

I'd use VLOOKUP function.
If your codes are in Sheet2! A1:A10 and the decriptions for the codes are on
the same sheet in B1:B10,in D7 put:
=VLOOKUP(C7,Sheet2!A1:A10,2) and copy down as necessary

Thank you both, very helpful I now have a new question

I have Customer A (with a customer number) who has multiple parts under
their entitlement which correspond to descriptions

The question here is how can I just using the customers number via a drop
menu pull all parts they are entitled to along with the part description

each category are in their own column and row and thats how I want it
displayed in the spreadsheet

sample data column is

Column A 1,2,3....= Customer name
Column B 1,2,3... = part number
Column C 1,2,3... = Description
Column D 1,2,3....= Quantity

in the new spreadsheet using a drop menu I would choose the customer number
and using the Vlookup provided earlier I can pull up the customer name so
that works

I tried to use the vlookup to pull up every part number associated to the
customer number and place each part number and description they were
entitled to in a separate row but however that does not seem to be working.

Any suggestions?
