If then statement

I have created a custom task form and i would like to create an if then
statement for the following:

If the a specified field A is equal to another field B, then the contents of
A will be bolded and red.

I have no idea how to write this, any ideas?

Bolded and red where? In the form? In a folder view?

In the form.

I have added several due dates for each action item (this is a field I
created on my custom task form) and what i want is if the reminder date and
the action item due date are the same, to have the action item date appear in
red and bolded on the form.

This requires writing VBScript code for the item, not just a formula. Use the CustomPropertyChange and PropertyChange events to monitor for changes in the desired properties, then set the ForegroundColor, etc. properties of the desired controls, as appropriate. See http://www.outlookcode.com/d/propsyntax.htm .
