ignore mapped network drives when disconnected

I am using office 2003 pro on a laptop running windows xp pro. I have
several network drives mapped due to be a business computer and I work on the
road as well as having several mapped network drives at home on my own
network. When I am not at the office, everytime I use the open file or save
file boxes, and select the drives pull down, the application locks up. I
have been able to correct the issue by unmapping the network drives.

Just looking for some sort of patch to allow my mapped network drives to
remain as they are and not have to delete them and remap them everytime I go
back to the office or home.

This is easily resolved by creating a couple hardware profiles, one
for when you're at the office and one for when you're away. Then all
you have to do is select the appropriate profile when you boot your
laptop.

If you don't know how to do this, since this is a newsgroup for Office
related questions, post any questions you may have in a Windows
