Ignore Misspelling within selection

It sure would be nice if I could select a bunch text, right-click on a
flagged misspeling, select Ignore and have all the misspellings within
the selection be ignored.

Can it be done w/ a macro?

Within a doc,I often have long lists of words that are not in
dictionary. I can't stand the red squigly underline, so I have to go
through each word and tell the spell checker to ignore. This is a
pain for a hundred word list.

Ex:
HappyMonkeyTree
LiveSunset
BigManLuke

This sounds great, but it is not working for me.

When I select Language the "Do not check spelling or grammar" I find
a greyed check mark. I deselect it (clear it) and save style, but
when I go back to check it is grayed again (does not stay cleared).

Also, the description shows "Default paragraph font +" and nothing
else.

If you're trying to make a character style that ignores misspellings you
need to check the box instead of clearing it.

Of course, I am an idiot! Works great now.

Last question: When I tried to change the text back to normal it
stayed stuck in the new "Do Not Spell Check" style. Why can't I
change it back to Normal?

It works, great!
But, why doesn't setting it to the 'Normal' style work?

Did you have the text selected when you applied Normal? If you just have the
insertion point in the paragraph, usually only the paragraph formatting is
updated (as if you had pressed Ctrl+Q. Font formatting (at least if applied
to less than 50% of the text) is preserved unless the text is selected.

Even w/ all the characters (w/ the Do Not Spell Check Style) selected,
they are "locked" and cannot be changed back to Normal.

Interestingly, other styles can be applied 'over' the Do Not Spell
Check (like Header 1, Hyperlink, etc.) and take effect visually, BUT
the style shown in the pull down Style Menu is still Do Not Spell
Check and can apparently be overridden only w/ the CTRL-Spacebar.

is changed/removed when you apply or remove styles/formatting.
