IIS and/or Server extensions security setup

Hi:

I have been trying in the past two weeks for doing some simple database
works under the following environment:
(1) OS: Windows server 2003 or Windows XP Pro
(2) IIS: IIS 6.0 or IIS 5
(3) FP Extensions: FP server extensions 2002
(4) Scripts: ASP and Access database.

The kind of tasks that I wish to complete is to have a registration form
(based on FP 2003) to collect user sign-up information and store in an
Access database file which later will be used for login verification.

I have been trying in the past two weeks with many different ways but none
of them is successful and have problems one way or the other.

However, one of the most common problems which happen even if the form is
being successfully submitted (as told by the browser but not sure at all) is
that the records of the database file has not been changed or inserted. So,
I wish to make sure the security is being set correctly.

Kindly point me to where can I find a step-by-step instructions to set up
the permissions of IIS, Server Extensions Administrator, and/or SharePoint
Team Service?

I understand the permission can be administrator either by IIS, SharePoint
Administrator, and/or Server Extensions Administrator - which is so
confusing.

I've tried several settings but none of them worked.

So if you could, please tell me how to set up the right permissions or point
me to the right place.

Many thanks in advance!!!

Hi:

Thanks so much, I happened to find it this afternoon and tested it
intensively the whole afternoon.

I followed the exact instructions and did get the result I wanted. I even
created a simple form with two text boxes which also worked out fine.

I took one step further by doing the same procedures into another production
sites. Guess what, I got all kinds of error messages flying around. ha ha
ha - I just went crazy.

So what I am doing now is to create another empty site, and import contents
from the production site to the empty site and do the experiment there.

Hope I can pass this time.

God bless me.

Thanks
