Couldn't find a discussion group that fit this questions explicitly. If
anyone can recommend which one to use that would be great. I'll be happy to
move my question.

In essence I need to know where I find the value, to edit, for the default
IIS website/virtual directory path. On a single server in a multi node NLB,
when msi's are used to install new content the data is being dumped into a
subdirectory several folders deep within an existing virtual directory. So
instead of the site IISTEST files being dropped in that virtual
directory/folder, it is being dropped into wwwroot/applogin/login/content or
similar.

I've banged google, microsoft.com, the local registry and the metabase xml
file for a while on this and I am stumped. Surely it's somewhere easy and I
am just overlooking it completely. The wwwroot folder is not on C: and for
a while the msi's were working correctly. Something got changed at some
point and I just need to know how to remedy the situation. Any assistance is
greatly appreciated.

Kevin,

You might like to try microsoft.public.inetserver.iis
