I was able to, after adjusting my PowerMac memory (control
panel, memory), to open an Excel 98 (originally created in
Excel XP/Windows) file using OS 9.2.
However, I was, initially prompted with the same 18 error
messages, "File error data may have been lost,"
but was able to able to open the questionnaire after
clicking on the OK button to the messages.
Then I got a message informing me that the file was built
using a more recent versions of Excel. I accepted the
prompt and saved the questionnaire in Excel 98/OS 9.2.
When I opened the questionnaire a second time, I received
NO error messages.
Can you tell me what causes the "File error data may have
been lost" messages, and how can I avoid getting them?
Am I doing the right thing?
Thanx in advance.
