Illegal Operation at Outlook 97 Startup

When user tries to open Outlook 97, receives "This program
has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down.,
etc. Under Details: Outlook caused an Invalid Page Fault
in module <unknown> at 0000:c085fffl followed by several
lines of registrations and Stack dump. I researched the
knowledge base but never came across a fix that worked.
Mapisp32 seems to be stuck. Can anyone offer a solution?

I had a similar problem for the last month and half. I solve it yesterday by running Ad-ware, which found 2 "Possible Browser Hijack Attempts" in the registry. Ad-ware removed them and Outlook is fully functioning again. Good Luck
