"Illegal operation"

R

Ray

Can anyone explain the idiocy that occurs in Microsoft
Word when performing a simple task, and inexplicably the
warning comes up: "You have performed an illegal
operation, and will be shut down?" I thne have to restart
the computer for no apparent reason. Is there a way of
eliminating this 'warning' so that it will not be a
problem. I type and print documents. I never do anything
complicated with Word.

Hi Ray,

You can eliminate the error by eliminating the problem causing the
error to occur.

In order to help determine the exact problem we need more information
such as the version of Word you are using, patches you have installed
for Word, what you are doing when you encounter the error, e.g. please
expand on *what* simple task you are performing.
