I'm getting an out of memory error using the spell check.

When I try to use the spell check I keep getting an out of memory error. That
I don't have enough memory to run the spell check. I don't think that's the
case. What can I do about it. I really need the spell check working.

What this rather curt response means:

Tell us the type of machine and available RAM you have, whether any other
applications are running, which version of Word you are using. Has this
happened before? Anything else which changed since it last worked OK?
