Hi,
I'm trying to find either an I-beam or a line with a flat end stencil shape
..i.e. something like this: |-|
I've searched for ages but just cannot find it.
I've found lines with all kinds of arrow ends etc but no flat ends

Has anyone any ideas please?

Many thanks

Hello Phil,

You can draw your own:

1 - View/Toolbars/Drawing

2 -Select line tool

3 - Draw the left vertical line.

4 - Draw the right vertical line.

5 - Draw the horizontal connector.

6 - Edit/Select All

7 - Shape/Operations/Combine

8 - Format/Line.../Cap/Square

Is this what you're looking for?

Best regards

Hi John,
Thanks for replying. I appreciate it.
I'll try it and let you know. My only concern is that ungrouping operations
will disassemble the combined shape?

As I say - I'll play with your method and let you know.

Thanks again

Hello Phil,

No doubt you've found this out for yourself by now, but the combine
operation results in a single not grouped shape. Take a look at the
shapesheet of the 'combined' shape and you'll see it has three geometry
sections. It cannot be ungrouped as it's not a group in the first place.

You would get a grouped shape if you replace step 7 with
'Shape/Grouping/Group'.

A single shape is more efficient (in terms of memory usage) but less
flexible. A single shape can only have one fill and line format, for
example, where as in a grouped shape, each group member can carry it's own
formating.

Hope that helps.

Best regards

Thanks John - your "Combine" solution works perfectly.
I very pleased with the result.

Thanks again
