Image appears in the table of contents

Hi -

This is a strange one.

I created a few screen shots using Corel Capture 8 of a GUI for a document
I'm writing. The images are saved as a Corel Photo-Paint 8.0 Image. When I
add a caption to the image inserted into the document and update the list of
figures, the images appear in the list of figures along with the figure and
page numbers!

I've looked at this for a while and ran out of ideas and things to try.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks
- Bill

Two possibilities:

When you inserted the figure, you probably pressed Enter at the beginning of
the caption paragraph to get a new paragraph for the figure.

1. When you did this, you inserted the figure inside the bookmark that had
already been created for the Table of Figure entry, so it gets included.

2. Even if it weren't inside the bookmark, unless you changed the style of
the new paragraph thus created, it was still Caption style and so might be
included in a TOF based on captions.

Cut the existing figure and paste it into a new paragraph created by
pressing Enter at the end of the preceding paragraph, or, if the style is
the problem, change the style of the figure paragraph to Normal or
(preferably) a custom style used for figures.
