Image automatically resized when inserted? *hopeful*

I'm trying to make a 'missing' poster template for some children as part of a
school project.

I'd like for them to be able to insert a photograph into the document, and
for it to appear at a certain size, so as not to mess up the rest of the page.

These kids aren't the brightest sparks, and would have diffficulty resizing
an image themselves.

I was told that by creating a table and fixing the cell size, an image
pasted into the cell should automatically resize to fit but that doesn't seem
to work... or I'm doing something wrong :s

Help appreciated :)

(I'm using Word 2003 (Professional))

A larger image will be resized to fit the height or width of the table cell.
A small image will not be enlarged, which I suspect may be what you need.

Cheers for replying :)

Without checking each child's picture before they inserted it, I wouldn't be
able to guarantee that though.

I solved the problem... in the table property options there is an option to
'automatically resize to fit contents' - if you uncheck that box, then the
image is shrunk to fit the cell, rather than the cell being expanded to take
the image - hurray!
