Hi,
I am not sure if I am repeating the question (I apologize if this question is already answered!), but I was wondering if I could compress images within Powerpoint 2008. I could do this in Powerpoint 2007 and 2003 for windows. I would be grateful if someone could give me some guidance.
Thanks,
Kuldeep

Unfortunately, this feature is not supported on the Mac version :-(

Hi all,

I'm slightly confused... there is that Save Options dialog with a
checkbox for image compression, although it doesn't seem to do
anything. Is that just a fake button? (It was there in 2004 too.)

Hello mitcho -

Take a closer look at the captioning of those Options:)

They apply only if saving each *slide* as a picture, not to compressing the
individual images *in* the presentation file. Those settings only kick in if
you choose one of the graphics file formats at the bottom of the Format:
list (JPEG, PNG, etc.). The result is that each slide is saved as a separate
image file, not as a PPt presentation.

Ahah, Mr. Jones, thank you for the clarification. Does the Windows
version have the ability to export a PPT with compressed images?
