image display problem...

Help! I apologize ahead if this issue has already been beaten to
death. I'm running powerpoint (office X) on a apple laptop powerbook
G4 (Tiger 10.4.9). I was presenting a powerpoint presentation during
a recent sales meeting. This file was originally created on PC in our
home office (Microsoft Office 2003 version for PC). Normally these
files work fine, but this time there were problems with the images
that were imbedded in the presentation (JPEG's). Some of them worked
fine, but a few (of course the important ones) did not appear, and
instead a white rectangular box showed with a big red X within it,
where the picture should have appeared. I thought perhaps it was a
memory problem with my laptop, so I upgraded the RAM from 512 MB to 2
gig. This did not solve the problem. Anyone out there have any
advice on this? THANKS so much. Jeff.

So I'm guessing the JPGs are CMYK ones and not RGB ones.

convert the cmyk jpgs to rgb then reinsert into powerpoint

Hello,
I am having the exact same problems with CMYK images. Is there a way
other than changing the images from CMYK to RGB. I get presentations
from different sources that I cannnot control and it is frustrating
that CMYK images don't show up on my mac PPT. Thanks. K.
