What really make me angry, that this question was
submitted 1000 times, and every time Microsoft`s supporter
came with the same silly answer, U HAVE TO GO TO OPTION
AND ENABLE BLA BLA BLA BLA BLA.......
I want to make it clear, I tried every thing in the
Options menu, nothing helps. So please, Why this happed
with OFFICE XP and WINDOWS 2000 ?
and make me a favour microsoft`s supporters , install
Office XP o windows 2000! Solve the problem, and then
answer us.

It might help to update your video driver. Also, if the image is a TIFF,
Word does often have trouble displaying this file format.

Massalha,

The folks who answer questions here do so on
a peer/volunteer basis. You can obtain

I share Shady's frustration with this issue.
Also, Bob and Suzanne - thank you for posting responses.
They are very helpful.
It is curious that no one seems to have a good answer to
this particular problem. This computer has Office XP and
Windows 2000. The problem did not occur with a previous
version of Office and Windows NT. The graphics card is
nVidia RIVA TNT2 Model 64. It has the latest driver
direct from the nVidia site (the latest driver works
slightly better than the older driver). It helps somewhat
to turn off the graphics accelerators, but the display
updates slower. The frustrating thing about the problem
is that once Word starts displaying an image incorrectly,
it keeps doing it -- like it has a long list of remembered
displays. You can go 50 pages away in the document and
come back a half hour later and it displays incorrectly.
It would be useful if someone could find a control that
makes the driver redraw the image and clear out the saved
version. (If you reboot, usually it will display the
particular problem image correctly.)
It would be useful if other people experiencing the
problem would report the type of graphics card they have.
Has anyone seen anything on the Microsoft support site
about this? Almost certainly there is a bug in Office in
Windows 2000 - Is Microsoft working on this?
