image files are they needed

I created a couple self runining PowerPoint slide shows. and Uploaded to
a website. Do I need the Jpg image files the PPS or PPT file was created
from to be on the website as well.

I need to reduce the number of files I have on a website because of
upload problems (think I using more space than I am allowed)

PowerPoin2004 Mac.

The PowerPoint show contains the JPGs once you've added them. You don't need
them on the site also.
