Image in Control Bar Item

Hi all

I posted this a week or so ago & got no takers, hope you
don't mind me trying again.

I need to be able to create popup menus on the fly in
code. I have managed to get the text part worked out, but
wish to put an image next to that text and just can't see
how to do it.
