Image in Outlook signature

Hello,
I have inserted a jpg image in my Outlook signature and it works
fine. Lately I've noticed that when I send an email, the jpg is also
included as an attachment, multiple times, sometimes up to 20. The
attachemnts are either image001 or image002 .png or .jpg. What is
causing this?
