image partially displays

DOH!

I am trying to insert a .jpg image into an existing textbox (Word 2003).
When I insert (or cut and paste into) the image into the text box, I can only
see the bottom 10% of the picture (the remaining 90% is just the frame of the
picture with the text showing through). This is puzzling me. Drawing is
checked, image placeholder is NOT checked.

Never had a problem inserting images into textboxes before. Can open
another blank document, create a text box and insert an image into the
textbox just fine.

When I select the image I cannot (in Format Picture) change any of the
layout properties listed (they are greyed-out).

Solutions???
Thanks!

Not sure why you are not inserting the image directly into the
Word document. The layout options are probably grayed out
because you are inserting the image into a text box. Make sure
the line spacing in the text box is set to "single" (or something
other than "exactly").

Thanks, that did the trick, but I still cannot (text) align the image with
the text.
Thinking about scrapping this and doing it in Publisher.

Thanks,

If you want the image to be inline, set the text wrapping to In Line With
Text.
