Image Placeholders in Word 2007

Hi

Ticks me off this new 2007 verison, confusing as heck, what drugs are
these guys on at Microsoft?

I get image placeholders in Word 2007 and there is NO HELP in Word
explaining how to turn it off like in older versions Tools/Options,
uncheck box for image placeholder. Oh type Image Placeholder in HELP
and get a Windows Security Hint...Ha...what a joke.

Who was the brain child thinking that clients who have worked 10+ years
with Word can change it overnight?

Like Print Preview. So simple before, nice little icon on the toolbar,
now one has to click on a stupid big button, then remember not to click
on the PRINT button, but the stupid dropdown arrow beside it, then
Print Preview.

This is progress???

Back to original question, any ideas how to TURN ON an image so I can
see the ruddy thing?

And no, not like another place in Help is says my unit isn't powerful
enough...I got a 2.8G with 512MB on a 120GB HD. Don't tell me 512 Ram
isn't enough.

Totally disgusted with this new FP interface...

Figured out how to show images in a document.

STUPID STUPID STUPID MICROSOFT...

1. Click on the image.
2. Picture Tools tab shows up out of the blue on the top...what, menu
bar?
3. Click on Format
4. Click on TEXT WRAPPING.

Found out the hard way, I went via the "Arrange Advanced Layout"
(little pop up window when clicking on the bottom right arrow), then
selected Text Wrapping, Square...

Oh, have to do this every time you insert a picture...doesn't stay that
way by default now, and if you insert two pictures in the same page,
the newer one overlaps the older one, make sure you move it

STUPID STUPID STUPID...Microsoft has gone and wrecked a good product.

It's a beta product - what did you expect???

If you really want Microsoft to know how you feel about it, you should
use the link that you were provided when you got the beta software to
provide feedback. I doubt that any of the volunteers on this site can
change anything. But feel free to vent!

Yes, I needed to vent, sorry.

Beta, true, but come on, this is basic stuff, and I'm sure it will be
fixed before releasing the Beta. Seems to happen each time. I seem to
remember people "venting" about this same issue with 2003 version. So
was it fixed? Dunno.

Half the frustration is not knowing where to look anymore, AND/OR, not
knowing if a certain option is even available...

Same with Import via Scanner, I can't see where it is. Used to be under
Import/Picture/Scanner.

Wish they'd leave either the menu or tool bar alone, and then turn off
the FPI stuff.

Vent away! Unfortuantely, a beta version is just that - beta and it
doesn't come with any instructions or help manuals. The whole reason
it doesn't is that it is apt to change. You can just click around and
see what you can discover and what gives you problems. The better way
to address this would be to go to a site and post your question and
then get answers. Voila! Follow the link below to post your
questions.
